Create your perfect bookshop!

What would your perfect bookshop look like?

For Love Your Bookshop Day 2026, we’re inviting young readers to get creative with our LYBD2026 Kids’ Colouring Competition.

Colour in the bookish scenes around the page, then use the blank space to draw your very own perfect bookshop. It could have towering shelves, cosy reading corners, books floating through the air, a resident bookshop dog or something completely unexpected. It’s up to you!

There are three $100 ABA Gift Cards to be won, with one winner in each age group:

• 5 years and under
• 6–8 years
• 9–12 years

How to enter

Download and print the LYBD2026 Colouring Competition sheet, add your name and age, then get colouring and drawing.

When you’re finished, ask a parent or guardian to post your entry on social media using #LYBD2026, or email it to hello@loveyourbookshop.org.au.

Entries close 17 October 2026.

One winner from each age group will receive a $100 ABA Gift Card to spend at their favourite bookshop.
